Sean Colsen, DPM
Sean Colsen is a podiatrist specializing medical and surgical management of foot problems. He graduated from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 1998 and completed 2 years of residency at the Boston and Providence veterans hospitals. He has been in private practice since 2000. He is a staff member at Westerly Hospital and the director of the Day Kimball Hospital Wound Clinic.
Problems we commonly see in the office include plantar fasciitis, tendonitis, ingrown toenails, infections, warts and athlete's foot. We perform foot care and foot exams for patients who are unable to take care of their own nails and callouses, especially if he or she has diabetes, neuropathy or poor circulation.
Diabetic foot wounds and infections are also very common, both at the office and at the wound clinic. Many wound care procedures can be performed in the office but more complicated cases are usually referred to wound care.
Surgical procedures are performed at both Day Kimball and Westerly Hospitals. Common procedures include bunionectomies, hammertoe repair, fusions, tendon repair, fracture repair and toe/partial foot amputations.
Finally, we have a 3D computerized scanning system for custom orthotics. The orthotics are affordably priced and we guarantee satisfaction.
